May 01, 2014

FISH-OFF MEETING: The meeting will be held on May 1st at 6:00 p.m. at Perry Wycuff's home. The fish-off lake will be drawn. Also, be prepared to discuss rule changes, lake schedule, and other topics as well as elect new Board members. CONGRATULATIONS to the "Team Anglers of the Year" David Arnold and Billy Collins with a combined weight of 97.44 lbs. They also took "Big Fish Honors" for the year with 9.59 lbs.


April 12, 2014

The eighth and final tournament of the 2013-2014 season was held on Saturday, April 12th at Lake Clarks Hill. There were 13 teams participating in the tournament. There was a total of 61 fish caught for a combined weight of 118.20 lbs. First place honors went to Josh Frady and Steven Goforth with 5 fish weighing 15.19 lbs. They also took big fish honors with 5.28 lbs. Second place honors went to Eddie Belcher and Terry Belcher with 5 fish weighing 14.22 lbs. and second big fish honors with 4.88 lbs. Third place honors went to Melvin Montjoy and Pat Taylor with 5 fish weighing 12.23 lbs.


March 08, 2014

The seventh tournament of the 2013-2014 season was held on Saturday, March 8th at Lake Murray. There were 17 teams participating in the tournament. There was a total of 40 fish caught for a combined weight of 126.87 lbs. David Arnold and Billy Collins set a club record of 28.79 lbs. which included a "giant" largemouth weighing 9.59 lbs.--netting them big fish honors! Not only that, they backed it up with 2nd big fish weighing 6.94 lbs. (Do we see a pro career in the near future????). Second place honors went to Josh Frady and Steven Goforth with 5 fish weighing 18.20 lbs. Third place honors went to Mike Fuller and Larry Parris with 5 fish weighing 14.73 lbs.


February 08, 2014

The sixth tournament of the 2013-2014 season was held on Saturday, February 8th at Lake Greenwood. There were 14 teams participating in the tournament. There was a total of 47 fish caught for a combined weight of 129.61 lbs. First place honors went to David Arnold and his alternate Barry Skinner with 4 fish weighing 22.59 lbs. They also took big fish honors with 8.06 lbs. as well as second big fish honors with 6.67 lbs. Second place honors went to Pat Taylor and Melvin Montjoy with 5 fish weighing 15.71 lbs. Third place honors went to Gary Stribling with 5 fish weighing 14.27 lbs.


January 11, 2014

The fifth tournament of the 2013-2014 season was held on Saturday, January 11th at Lake Keowee. There were 12 brave (or CRAZY) teams that showed up on probably the rainiest day with much thunder and lighting throughout the day and what seemed like a possible tornado right above our heads. There was a total of 30 fish caught for a combined weight of 47.84 lbs. First place honors went to Scott Cooke and Chuck Robbins with 5 fish weighing 10.24 lbs. They also took big fish honors with 3.99 lbs. and second big fish honors with 2.47 lbs. Second place honors went to Mike Fuller and Larry Parris with 5 fish weighing 8.63 lbs. Third place honors went to Pat Taylor and Melvin Montjoy with 5 fish weighing 7.87 lbs. The 12 teams would like to thank Larry Parris for letting us know the water temperature before the tournament began!
