The third tournament of the 2014-2015 season will be held at Lake Wylie at Big Allison Landing on November 8, 2014.


October 11, 2014

The second tournament of the 2014-2015 season was held on Saturday, October 11th, at Lake Hartwell. There were 13 teams who participated with a grand total of 59 fish caught with a combined weight of 112.74 lbs. First place honors (for the second time in a row) went to Perry Wycuff and Dan Lowe with 5 fish weighing 16.02 lbs. as well as second big fish honors with 6.46 lbs. Second place honors went to David Arnold and Billy Collins with 5 fish weighing 14.78 lbs. as well as big fish honors with 7.49 lbs. Third place honors went to David Brown and Brandon Brown with 5 fish weighing 10.66 lbs.


September 13, 2014

The first tournament of the 2014-2015 season was held on Saturday, September 13th at Lake Russell. There were 12 teams who participated with a grand total of 42 fish caught with a combined weight of 60.28 lbs. First place honors went to Perry Wycuff and Dan Lowe with 5 fish weighing 9.65 lbs. Second place honors went to Huey Hayden and Doug Fuller with 5 fish weighing 6.68 lbs. Third place honors went to Mike Adair and Pete Stapleton with 4 fish weighing 8.50, as well as big fish honors of 3.53 lbs. Second big fish honors went to Perry Wycuff and Dan Lowe with 2.65 lbs.


September 04, 2014

The kick-off meeting for the 2014-2015 season will be held on Thursday, September 4th at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Perry Wycuff. Registration fee for the new season and first tournament fees for Lake Russell will be accepted at this meeting. NOTE: Our bass club has been asked for any member who would be willing to donate new or slightly used fishing equipment (rods, reels, etc.) and accessories (plugs, hooks, tackleboxes, etc.) to the Broome High School Bass Club. If you are willing to donate, please bring items to the team meeting. For further details, contact Reggie O'Brien (864-542-5899).


July 28, 2014

The annual meeting was held May 1st. A new lake schedule was prepared by the Board. Rule changes for the 2014-2015 season are: Rule #10--"Lifejacket must be worn while boat is on plane" has been removed; Rule #16 (now #15) has changed to read--"There is a 5 fish limit. No culling at landing or at scales--cull when limit (5) is reached."; Rule #30 has changed to read--"Any protest must be made within 15 minutes after weigh-in to a tournament official and the present tournament committee, who will talk to both parties involved, separately and in private, and will decide the outcome. No protests will be accepted after monies are paid." Officers for 2014-2015: Eddie Belcher and Gary Stribling will receive entry fees. David Arnold will continue as tournament starter. Perry Wycuff and Dan Lowe are now the weigh masters. Reggie O'Brien will continue as the records and webpage keeper. Board members for 2014-2015: Gary Stribling, Eddie Belcher, Dan Lowe, and Melvin Montjoy.
